Time to nominate for more service posts for Area! (27/1 2024, Q1)
Now is the time to nominate a new chairman for the Sweden Convention 2024, vice chairman CASSO, member of CASSO and chairman of Unity. Nominate by filling out the form further down the page. The service positions will be appointed at the Area Meeting on January 27, 2024. The nominees must be consulted and are recommended to attend the Area Meeting.

Chairman of the 2024 Sweden Convet
The service assignment involves the following:
Call a practical meeting to announce the members of the committee.
Set up a Convention Committee.
Responsible for where, when and how the 2024 Sweden Convention will take place.
Attend all area meetings.
Recommendations for the Convention Chair:
Good knowledge of the Traditions.
Previous service assignments in CA, preferably experience from participation in previous conventions.
You should be structured.
Have an eye for economic issues.
Be able to lead the committee and also to provide positive and constructive criticism.
Be able to delegate and ask for help.
Desirable minimum sober time: 1 year.
Length of service assignment: 1 year.
What is the Swedish Convention?
C.A. Sweden organizes a convention once a year. The convention usually lasts for a weekend, from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. The convention schedule includes meetings, speakers, workshops and a banquet dinner with entertainment.
Vice President CASSO
Service missions involve the following:
Attend CASSO meetings
Participate and organize Area meetings
Is involved in ensuring that Traditions are followed.
Voting rights on topical issues in CASSO and at area meetings.
Performs the duties of the President in his/her absence.
Desirable skills and experience:
Meticulous and responsible.
Familiar with the traditions.
6 months of other services in CA
Desirable minimum sober time: 1 year.
Length of service assignment: 2 years.
WHAT IS CASSO?
CASSO (Cocaine Anonymous Sweden Service Organization) consists of five people who work together to make C.A. Sweden to function smoothly. CASSO is responsible for C.A. Sweden's finances and for organizing area meetings. CASSO also takes input from C.A. groups and forwards it to delegates or directly to the C.A. World organization in the USA.
WHAT IS an Area Meeting?
Area meetings are meetings where representatives from different districts, meeting groups and committees (belonging to the same geographical area) meet and discuss general issues concerning our area. Cocaine Anonymous (Cocaine Anonymous) in Sweden is today considered as one area.

The service assignment involves the following:
Attend CASSO meetings.
Participate in area meetings.
Is involved in ensuring that Traditions are followed.
Voting rights on topical issues in CASSO and at area meetings.
Desirable knowledge and qualities:

6 months of active service in CA.
Desirable minimum sober time: 1 year.
Length of service mission: 2 years.

President Unity

To create cohesion within the CA in Sweden.
Participate during meetings.
Organize Unity events.
Set up a Unity Committee if needed.
Voting rights at area meetings.
Desirable knowledge and qualities:

What is the Unity Committee?
The Unity Committee works to strengthen cohesion in CA. For example, it can organize workshops and theme days.
