Time to nominate for more service posts for Area! (21/12 2024, Q4)
It is now time to nominate a new Chair of the Sweden Convention 2025, Vice Chair of CASSO and Chair of Unity. Nominate by filling in the form further down the page. The service positions will be appointed at the Area Meeting on December 21, 2024. The nominees must be consulted and are recommended to attend the Area Meeting.

Chairman of the Sweden Convention 2025
The service assignment involves the following:
Call a practical meeting to announce the members of the committee.
Set up a Convention Committee.
Responsible for where, when and how the Sweden 2025 Convention will take place.
Attend all area meetings.
Recommendations for the Convention Chair:
Good knowledge of the Traditions.
Previous service assignments within CA, preferably experience from participation in previous conventions.
You should be structured.
Have an eye for economic issues.
Be able to lead the committee and also to provide positive and constructive criticism.
Be able to delegate and ask for help.
Desirable minimum sober time: 1 year.
Length of service assignment: 1 year.
Vice President CASSO
Service missions involve the following:
Attend CASSO meetings
Participate and organize Area meetings
Is involved in ensuring that Traditions are followed.
Voting rights on topical issues in CASSO and at area meetings.
Performs the duties of the President in his/her absence.
Desirable skills and experience:
Meticulous and responsible.
Familiar with the traditions.
6 months of other services in CA.
Desirable minimum sober time: 1 year.
Length of service assignment: 2 years.
WHAT IS CASSO?
CASSO (CA Sweden's Service Organization) consists of six people (chairman, vice-chairman, secretary, treasurer, 2 members) who work together to CA Sweden to function smoothly. CASSO is responsible for CA Sweden's economy and for organizing area meetings. CASSO also takes input from districts and/or meeting groups, which is then forwarded to delegates or directly to CA World's organization in the USA.
What is an Area Meeting?
Area meetings are meetings where representatives from different districts, meeting groups and committees (belonging to the same geographical area) meet and discuss general issues related to CA. CA Sweden is currently counted as one area.
President Unity
Service missions involve the following:
Creating cohesion within CA in Sweden
Participate during Area meetings
Organize Unity event
Setting up a Unity Committee
Voting rights at Area meetings
Desirable skills and experience:

Well versed in the traditions
6 months of active service within CA
Desirable minimum period of sobriety: 2 years.
Length of service assignment: 2 years.

On Saturday, October 17, CA arranged an event where some members painted the legal graffiti wall in Tantolunden in Stockholm.
We are still looking for a willingness to service for some service positions and are happy and grateful if more people want to participate in the committee! The next meeting of the PI Committee is Wednesday 17 June at 6 pm via Zoom.
