Time to nominate for multiple service items!
Now is the time to nominate a new Treasurer for CASSO, Chair of S&I, Chair of PI and Chair of the Literature Committee. Nominate by filling in the form further down the page. The service positions will be appointed at the Area Meeting in May 2022. The nominees should be consulted and recommended to attend the Area Meeting.

Treasurer CASSO
The service assignment involves the following:
Manage the accounting for CA Sweden.
Manage contributions from CA meetings and events.
Attend area meetings and report CA Sweden's economy.
Making annual proposals for the budget and ensuring that it is not exceeded.
Forward contributions from CA Sweden to CA World.
Certify payments and withdrawals together with the Chair of CASSO.
Voting rights on current issues at area meetings.
Recommendations for Treasurer CASSO:
Previous treasurer positions in CA.
Gainful employment and financial stability.
Experience in bookkeeping and accounting.
Good knowledge of the Traditions.
That you have done regular maintenance in the last 2 years.
Desirable minimum sober time: 3 years.
Length of service assignment: 2 years.
What is CASSO?
CASSO consists of five people who work together to make CA Sweden area work smoothly. CASSO is responsible for CA Sweden's economy and for organizing area meetings. CASSO also gets input from CA groups and forwards it to delegates or directly to CA world's organization in the United States.
What is an area meeting?
Area meetings are meetings where representatives from different meeting groups and committees, belonging to the same geographical area, meet and discuss overall issues related to CA. CA Sweden is one area.

President Hospitals & Institutions (S&I)
The service assignment involves the following:
Holding regular practical meetings as President.
Serving the committee and its group conscience.
Holding S&I workshops.
Is at the forefront of developing the way we work with S&I.
Carry out S&I missions.
Is involved in ensuring that Traditions are followed.
Voting rights on current issues at area meetings.
Desirable knowledge and qualities:
Good knowledge of the Traditions.
12 months of active service in the S&I Committee.
Desirable minimum sober time: 1 year.
Length of service assignment: 1 year.
What is the S&I Committee?
The main purpose of CA is carrying the message of recovery to those who are still suffering. One way we do this is by visiting, prisons, psychiatric clinics, detox clinics, treatment centers, halfway houses, etc. to talk about the 12 Steps and make people aware that CA exists. The Committee within CA that works with reaching out to these places is called H&I.

President Public Information (PI)
The service assignment involves the following:
Oversee the PI Committee as a whole and have overall knowledge of the structure and activities of the Committee.
Communicate with CASSO and CAWSO when needed.
Represent the Committee in other contexts within CA's organization.
Answer general questions addressed to and within the Committee and find out answers if necessary.
Chair the Committee's practical meetings.
Ultimately, be responsible for ensuring that the Committee does not violate the Traditions.
Hold a veto in votes within the Committee.
Drive the Committee's development forward.
Represent the Committee at area meetings, answer questions and inform the area about its activities.
Voting rights on current issues at area meetings.
Desirable knowledge and qualities:
Energetic and responsible.
Good knowledge of the Traditions.
Previously performed service tasks at committee level within CA, preferably within PI.
Desirable minimum sober time: 1 year.
Length of service assignment: 2 years.
What is Public Information (PI)?
The PI Committee is responsible for making CA's name and program well known through information to the media and other actors in society. This can be done through information in e.g. radio, press, TV, web or social media. It can also be done through communication with other relevant stakeholders. The committee is responsible for managing the CA Sweden website, including the online shop. All matters concerning the publication of material on the site are handled by the PI Committee.

Chair of the Literature Committee
The service assignment involves the following:
As Chair, you are responsible for the Committee and its relations with CASSO, the groups and the Committee members.
Your role is to delegate tasks within the Committee and act as a point of contact between Committee members.
Represent the Committee at area meetings, answer questions and inform the area about its activities.
Voting rights on current issues at area meetings.
Desirable knowledge and qualities:
Previous service within CA.
You should be structured.
Be able to lead the committee and be helpful, give and take constructive criticism.
Ability to delegate and ask for help.
Be well versed in the traditions.
Previous service assignments are a prerequisite.
Desirable minimum sober time: 1 year.
Length of service assignment: 2 years.
What is the Literature Committee?
The literature committee is responsible for books, pamphlets and trays. They make sure they are packaged and sent to the groups that need them.
