Time to nominate for multiple service items!
Now is the time to nominate a new treasurer and secretary for CASSO, as well as new chairs for Unity, S&I, Literature and PI. Nominate by filling out the form further down the page. The service posts will be appointed at the area meeting via Zoom on May 15, 2021 12.00-15.30. The nominees should be consulted and are recommended to attend the area meeting.

Treasurer CASSO
The service assignment involves the following:
Responsibility for CA Sweden's budget and that it is not exceeded.
Responsibility for managing income and expenditure for CA Sweden.
Ensure that an updated financial report is available for area meetings.
Attend CASSO meetings.
Attend area meetings.
Is involved in ensuring that Traditions are followed.
Voting rights on current issues in CASSO and at area meetings.
Desirable knowledge and qualities:
Meticulous and responsible.
Orderly economy.
Good knowledge of the Traditions.
Previously well-established treasurer position within CA.
6 months of active service in CA.
Desirable minimum sober time: 2 years.
Length of service assignment: 2 years.
Secretary CASSO
The service assignment involves the following:
Responsibility for CA Sweden's CASSO mail and CA Sweden's info mail. Checking them daily and responding to emails using CASSO or forwarding emails to the person concerned. As well as keeping all correspondence going out to the groups in Sweden, such as minutes, dates for area meetings, etc.
Taking minutes and attending CASSO meetings and area meetings.
Manage excel file updating new meeting groups, CSGs, members, delegates, committee chairs with their emails etc.
Attend CASSO meetings.
Is involved in ensuring that Traditions are followed.
Voting rights on current issues in CASSO and at area meetings.
Desirable knowledge and qualities:
Meticulous and responsible.
Good knowledge of the Traditions.
6 months of active service in CA.
Desirable minimum sober time: 1 year.
Length of service assignment: 2 years.
What is CASSO?
CASSO consists of five people who work together to make CA Sweden area work smoothly. CASSO is responsible for CA Sweden's economy and for organizing area meetings. CASSO also gets input from CA groups and forwards it to delegates or directly to CA world's organization in the United States.
What is an area meeting?
Area meetings are meetings where representatives from different meeting groups and committees, belonging to the same geographical area, meet and discuss general issues related to CA. CA Sweden is currently counted as one area.
President Unity
The service assignment involves the following:
To create cohesion within CA in Sweden.
Organize Unity events.
Set up a Unity committee if necessary.
Voting rights at area meetings.
Desirable knowledge and qualities:

Good knowledge of the Traditions.

What is the Unity Committee?
The Unity Committees’ purpose is to enhance our communication and outreach among the diverse elements within the fellowship in the interest of carrying the CA message and to promote CA unity.
President S&I
The service assignment involves the following:
Holding regular practical meetings as President.
Serving the committee and its group conscience.
Holding S&I workshops.
Is at the forefront of developing the way we work with S&I.
Carry out S&I missions.
Is involved in ensuring that Traditions are followed.
Voting rights on current issues at area meetings.
Desirable knowledge and qualities:
Good knowledge of the Traditions.
12 months of active service in the S&I Committee.
Desirable minimum sober time: 1 year.
Length of service assignment: 1 year.
What is the S&I Committee?
The main purpose of CA is carrying the message of recovery to those who are still suffering. One way we do this is by visiting, prisons, psychiatric clinics, detox clinics, treatment centers, halfway houses, etc. to talk about the 12 Steps and make people aware that CA exists. The Committee within CA that works with reaching out to these places is called H&I.
President Literature
The service assignment involves the following:
Responsibility for the Literature Committee's budget and ensuring that it is not exceeded.
Maintain CA Sweden's stock of trays and books and manage the finances around this.
Helping groups with meeting starter kits.
Send out badges and books to CA groups.
Voting rights on current issues at area meetings.
Desirable knowledge and qualities:
Planning purchases for the warehouse.
Have time to quickly process orders for pamphlets, badges and books.
Structured and organized.
Meticulous and responsible.
Orderly economy.
Knowledge of the traditions.
6 months of active service in CA.
Desirable minimum sober time: 1 year.
Length of service assignment: 1 year.
What is the Literature Committee?
The Literature Committee is responsible for books, pamphlets and chip. They make sure they are packaged and sent to the groups.
President PI
The service assignment involves the following:
Oversee the PI Committee as a whole and have overall knowledge of the structure and activities of the Committee.
Communicate with CASSO and CAWSO when needed.
Represent the Committee at area meetings and in a wider context within CA's organization.
Answer general questions addressed to and within the Committee and find out answers if necessary.
Chair the Committee's practical meetings.
Ultimately, be responsible for ensuring that the Committee does not violate the Traditions.
Hold a veto in votes within the Committee.
Drive the Committee's development forward.
Voting rights on current issues at area meetings.
Desirable knowledge and qualities:
Energetic and responsible.
Good knowledge of the Traditions.
6 months of active service in the PI Committee.
Desirable minimum sober time: 2 years.
Length of service assignment: 2 years.
What is the PI Committee?
The PI Committee is responsible for making CA's name and program familiar through information to the media and other actors in society. This can be done through information in radio, press, TV, web or social media. This can also be done through communication with other relevant actors. The Committee is responsible for the management of CA Sweden's website including online store. All matters relating to the publication of content on the site are handled by the PI Committee.
