Wanted! Willingness to be of service in the PI Committee.
Hi!
We are still looking for service to four service posts (see below) and are happy and grateful if more people want to participate in the committee!
Further down the page you will find a form where you can register interest in a Service Position. Remember that you don't need to fulfill the list of desirable knowledge and qualities or sober time to register your interest. There is also the possibility of flexibility in what the assignment entails and how long it will be held.
If you do not wish to take on any of the available service posts but wish to help the PI committee, you can also register your interest.
Anyone is welcome to attend PI Committee meetings, but in order for you to receive a notice of the meeting, you should have registered your interest using the form below.
Only those who attend committee meetings and have a Service Position have the right to vote on the matters raised at the Committee's meetings.

Responsible for public relations
Not appointed.
The service assignment involves the following:
Setting up and managing a team that manages communication with the press and other stakeholders, both by initiating and responding to contacts.
Work out contact registers of press and other actors who may have an interest in CA .
Find CA members willing to do interviews when requested by the press (radio, podcasts, television, etc.).
Help the press or other actors who want to participate in CA-meetings or conventions.
Make sure that the requirements CA has on the condition of anonymity in press, radio, television and film are communicated and complied with.
Work close together with the responsible for outreach.
Responsible for ensuring that all activities of a significant nature have the approval of the rest of the PI Committee.
Desirable knowledge and qualities:
Creative and driven.
Not afraid to make contact.
Easy to get others involved and motivated.
Great if the person has a wide network of contacts within the media or other relevant groups in society.
Good knowledge of the Traditions.
Desirable minimum sober time: 1 year.
Length of service assignment: 1 year.
Responsible for CA Shop
Not appointed.
The service assignment involves the following:
Responsible for the care of CA's online store.
Be responsible for developing the product range in CA's online store together with the responsible for production.
Create new products and manage orders via the print-on-demand service the store uses.
Adding new products and pricing them in the online shop.
Respond to emails from customers if necessary.
Manage any complaints and refunds.
Exporting reports on sales and online donations for reporting to area meetings.
Responsible for ensuring that products' prints (specifically those that may contain messages or the use of CA's logo) has the approval of the rest of the PI Committee.
Desirable knowledge and qualities:
Basic knowledge in web-based CMS ( ca-sweden.se uses Squarespace), or technically skilled and willing to learn new things.
Accurate, responsible and service-minded.
Time to deal with urgent matters such as complaints or answering questions by email (although these are thought to be quite rare).
Great if the person has previous experience working with an online store or physical store.
Great if the person has a decent interest in mathematics and numbers.
Basic knowledge of the traditions.
Desirable minimum sober time: 1 year.
Length of service assignment: 1 year.
Responsibility for ca-sweden.se
Not appointed.
The service assignment involves the following:
Be responsible for day-to-day management and to some extent updating ca-sweden.se if necessary.
Assist the person in charge of publishing events, messages and files with help when needed.
Responsible for ensuring that all changes on ca-sweden.se of a significant nature has the approval of the rest of the PI Committee.
Desirable knowledge and qualities:
Good knowledge in web-based CMS (ca sweden.se uses Squarespace).
Great if the person has some basic knowledge in domain management, SEO, UI/UX, HTML, javascript, and CSS.
Great if the person has good knowledge in English (since updates to texts means that the automatic English translation needs to be checked).
Meticulous and responsible.
Thinks it's fun to optimize and develop ca-sweden.se in the longer term.
Basic knowledge of the traditions.
Desirable minimum sober time: 6 months.
Length of service assignment: 2 years.
Responsible for publishing events, announcements and files on ca-sweden.se
Not appointed.
The service assignment involves the following:
Continuously review and publish events that groups and committees submit for publication on ca-sweden.se.
Continuously review and publish announcements that groups and committees submit for publication on ca-sweden.se.
Continuously publish and update files available for download at ca-sweden.se.
Desirable knowledge and qualities:
Basic knowledge in web-based CMS ( ca-sweden.se uses Squarespace), or technically skilled and willing to learn new things.
Time to manage updates without long delays (within ca 48 hours).
Basic knowledge of the traditions.
Desirable minimum sober time: 6 months.
Length of service assignment: 1 year.
Service posts already appointed to the Committee: Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Meeting Admin, Responsible for Outreach, Responsible for Production, Responsible for Texts, Responsible for Social Media.
What is the PI Committee?
PI is short for Public Information. The Committee is responsible for making the CA name and program familiar outside CA's fellowship. This can be done through information to the media, to other relevant actors in society and through information in different places and channels. The Committee may also work on communication within the fellowship. CA's eleventh tradition reads "Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion; we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of press, radio, television and films." This does not mean that we should not inform about CA outwards. CA is not a secret fellowship. Knowing that we exist is crucial to reach out to those who need us. However, this means that we need to be vigilant about what we say, how we say it and who says it. We are a fellowship who want publicity for our program and our principles, not for our individual members. Nor do we claim to have the only or the best solution to the problem of addiction when communicating CA's message with CA as sender.
We must never forget that each group has but one primary purpose — to carry its message to the addict who still suffers. This also applies within the PI Committee — but the tools we use differ slightly from those used at the meeting group level.
